| Event Ideas |
How often do you do have this fundraiser? We originally planned once, but due to popular demand, we did it a second time
What type of fundraiser is this? Dinner / Play
What do you do to prepare for the fundraiser? Lots of practices, rehearsals, memorize lines, set up stage and props
What are the costs to put on this fundraiser? Depends on what may be donated
How much do you charge for the tickets or meal, etc.? $6
How many members are needed to put on the fundraiser? 15-30, actors, director, stage hands
How much do you usually profit from the fundraiser? I think it was about $700, after all the volunteerism
What do you usually hold the fundraiser for? Was a one time thing
Additional Comments: We had a dinner club type thing where we served dinner (chuck wagon style, with bb brisket, beans, coleslaw, roll and dessert) while the audience watched the play. We even had an intermission as the play was 90 minutes in length. Most all the food was donated and we had standing room only for this event. For four or five months we practiced and learned lines for a melodrama play. Name of play was "The Ballad of Goper Gap" The play was lots of fun to do, and a lot of work. We had a production team setting up the stage and props, actors, and a director. Quite the event with lots of laughter, applause and fun! Most of all it brought the club together.
