Basket of Booze Raffle
| Event Ideas |
How often do you do have this fundraiser? Once a year, we start it after Thanksgiving and have the raffle drawing on New Years Eve.
What type of fundraiser is this? Raffle
What do you do to prepare for the fundraiser? We put together one large basket with $200 worth of different types of alcoholic beverages. We also put together several smaller themes baskets made of donated items like kitchen pot holders, or wine glasses and a bottle of wine. We also print booklets of tickets with spaces for Name, Address and Phone number.
What are the costs to put on this fundraiser? We spend $200 on alcohol for the main basket and the rest of the items are donated by auxiliary members.
How much do you charge for the tickets or meal, etc.? We charge $1 each or 6 tickets for $5 for the raffle tickets.
How many members are needed to put on the fundraiser? We usually have a few people get together one night to put the baskets together. Then individual members will sell tickets during dances and the bartenders also sell tickets. On the night of the raffle we have two members sell tickets and do the drawing.
How much do you usually profit from the fundraiser? We usually profit between $5-700 from the raffle.
What do you usually hold the fundraiser for? We do the raffle as a fundraiser for our Auxiliary Ritual and Drill Team.
Additional Comments: The baskets are heavy so we usually use a Dog bed as a basket and put the basket together on a rolling cart so that we don't have to lift it.
