What type of fundraiser is this? Sales
 

What do you do to prepare for the fundraiser? The Aerie would purchase 2 dozen eggs. Then everyone takes and egg and circles the room trying to sell the egg for $1.00. Most people will give you the egg back because if you are out somewhere what are you going to do with a single egg.

It is best to do this at a picnic of a carnival booth, or sometime where there is a large group of people gathered. It is alot of fun for Junior Eagles as well.

This can also be done door to door in the community.

What are the costs to put on this fundraiser? The only cost is the cost of the eggs. (can be as low as $.50 a dozen.)
 

How much do you charge for the tickets or meal, etc.? $1.00 per egg

How many members are needed to put on the fundraiser? 3-5 depending upon the size of the crowd.

How much do you usually profit from the fundraiser? The amount of profit is endless... just depends upon how "pushy" you are or how well you can make them feel sorry for you.

What do you usually hold the fundraiser for? A Charity

Additional Comments: This fund raiser is only as fun as you make it. Some will draw faces on the eggs, some will write thank you on the eggs. and some will put FOE #3948 (or your Aerie #) on it.

I would be cautious of selling eggs in the hot part of the summer, just in case someone decides to take the egg home.
