What do you do to prepare for the fundraiser?

2 Months prior to craft show you advertise in the local papers that there will be a craft show at your aerie. back hall must be ok'd through aerie. the add should read crafters needed. You need to make sure you know how many tables will fit in your hall with room for public and for crafters items.. you appoint a chair and co chair that are willing to be contacted day and evenings.. you decide what you will rent the tables for and for how many days the craft show will last you may decide to rent by day or event that would be up to you. .if the ladies aux. decide to have snacks. hot dogs, chips, pop, candy etc. than they can also donate profits from there proceeds. one of the tables will be for members donated crafts only and all proceeds from these crafts sold are donated to your charity. Your Crafters need time to set up prior to the event so give ample time for setup befor you plan to open the doors.
Brothers and sisters use the kiss method keep it simple sweetie. the less you spend on an event the more likely the higher the return. this event is an excellent opportunity for the public to come in and see how Eagles do things. Be good to your crafters be good to each other and God Bless, good luck... Oh yes I have coffee and doughnuts for all crafters the first morning...Also I do advise you to catch your crafters at the door at setup time to collect there money for there table rentals. please have a diplomatic person in charge of this. and your chairs should tell the crafters that all fees are to be paid prior to sell or at the door prior to setup.

What are the costs to put on this fundraiser? Only the cost for your local advertisement. and the cost of snacks unless donated.
 

How much do you charge for the tickets or meal, etc.? Charge for tables are $20.00 this would depend on your area. you can check out craft shows - crafters needed and find out how much is charged in your area. newspapers, online etc.

How many members are needed to put on the fundraiser? 2 for craft show and how many ever for kitchen we only use 2 for kitchen but you can always do that in shifts and I never turn down any offer for help.

How much do you usually profit from the fundraiser? $400.00 to $500.00 but this depends on #of table rentals and how large your hall is it can be very profitable.

What do you usually hold the fundraiser for? You can vote on a different fundraiser every year. Last year it was held to help our aerie. this year who knows .

 Additional Comments: This is a very simple event an event that grows every year.. we do it in the winter since a lot of craft shows are in the summer time. It gives locals a chance to get out and do something different there is not a cost at the door so come on in. Take a look around. I hope that I helped someone with this Idea.
