What are the costs to put on this fundraiser? No cost or very minimal at most.
How much do you charge for the tickets or meal, etc.? Whatever the suggested price of the Entertainment Book is for your local area.
How many members are needed to put on the fundraiser? Really just one, but of course it helps greatly to have the help of the staff in your Aerie's social room.
How much do you usually profit from the fundraiser? Approximately 20% of the sales of each book. For our Aerie we made $5 per book and raised $200. Profits have ranged from $200 to $368, in years past.
What do you usually hold the fundraiser for? Any local charity or our Past Delegates Club.
Additional Comments:
The Entertainment book is book of coupons, which is about one inch thick including several hundred coupons. Most of the coupons are Buy-1-get-1-free offers ranging in value from $5 to $25. They include local restaurants, golf discounts, movies, plays, recreational activities, automotive services, etc. These books are a tremendous value and pay for themselves with the use of just 2 or 3 coupons. The coupons are generally valid for about 13 months. There are over 160 different editions of the books available for cities/regions throughout the U.S. The Entertainment Corporation is very easy to deal with. The books are mailed to you along with signs, promotional materials and other helpful ideas. You mail your money in monthly as books are sold and then in January, you simply close out your account by returning any unsold books and final receipts.
